PSORTb v. 2.0 Performance

PSORTb version 2.0 displays the highest precision of any bacterial protein localization prediction tool available, with an overall precision of 96%. The program displays an overall recall of approximately 82%, and is comparable to other current tools in the number of predictions it is able to generate.

Precision (TP/TP+FP) and Recall (TP/TP+FN) values for PSORTb v.2.0 are shown below - Table 1 displays P and R values for proteins with a single localization site, Table 2 displays P and R values for proteins with multiple localizations. Table 3 displays P and R values of PSORTb compared to other available localization prediction methods.
